This website contains selected data from the book of the same title (published in 2002 by GRANIT, Prague, Czech Republic) but also provides all newer information. First of all you can find all known mineral species from the Carpathian region.

The minerals are illustrated by representative coloured and scanning electron micrograph photos (this part is under development).

Doubtful occurrences are labelled by a question mark (or are labelled as old data). Mineral names with stars occur in microscopic size (less than one millimeter) in the Carpathians. (TL = type locality.)
The occurrences of the common/rock-forming minerals are mentioned at mountain level. Only the most significant localities are listed. However, all localities of the uncommon minerals are listed in details.
Only the most important books, papers, and articles are mentioned. This part is under development.
